Skills4Auto has been established to assume the role of best-recognised authority for training and skills development in the West and East Midlands automotive sector. Its strategic undertaking is to:
- Clearly understand and articulate the customers’ skills and development needs through detailed research and consultation (customers being organisations, employees and educators)
- Analyse, assess and market the educational opportunities available in the regions covered
- Ensure that ease of use and access are underlying principles when training and development programmes are created by the educational sector
- Develop clear funding support that will encourage take-up by vehicle manufacturers and their supply chain and commitment by providers
- Personally mentor and support the development, implementation and assessment of every training programme in order to significantly upgrade the retention and achievement levels
- Seek continual feedback about issues, problems, and suggested improvements in order to deliver ever more outstanding benefits to all stakeholders
- Ensure that delivery of the above is in line with the scope of the Automotive Academy
