Britain’s ability to secure a viable and competitive Automotive manufacturing sector

A major manufacturing event will see Skills4Auto’s Managing Director being a panellist when four key representatives from the Automotive industry will be discussing the future of the Automotive manufacturing in the country.

The Manufacturer LIVE 2005, held at Telford's International Centre on September 28th/29th is aiming to spread manufacturing best practice. At the core in Telford will be a two-day, 50 -speaker programme featuring workshops, seminars, lectures and debates taking place in seven auditoriums dedicated to the seven pillars of manufacturing: Leadership and strategy, world class manufacturing, design and innovation, skills and HR, logistics and supply chain, IT and infrastructure, and manufacturing operations.

In addition to the individual seminars the event will also host three industry forums for the Automotive, Process and Aerospace industries. Bryan McGinity, the Managing Director of Skills4Auto, will join the Automotive panel debating "Britain’s ability to secure a viable and competitive Automotive manufacturing sector". Bryan is a qualified Accountant who has had key experience leading international automotive and industrial market businesses including European Chief Executive roles at Black and Decker European Industrial Operations, Pilkington Automotive Glass, Acco Cable Controls Europe and Tennex Europe, as well as a previous role as Purchase Director at Unipart. Through these roles he has developed a strong commitment to people development.

Over 2000 delegates visited Manufacturer LIVE in 2004 and it is expected that numbers in 2005 will be in excess of 2,500.
